Yes.Male and Female treated well and equally in our country. They have the rights to study and do what they want. They can take the course they wanted to take like being a pilot,an engineer or in military both men and women are all accepted now a days unlike way back then when older people believe that women are not entitled to work because they believe women are to stay home being a wife a mother .They can pick the school they want to go to,pick a course, work they want in the future and if females have a husband the husband can't hurt her and the husband can't control her.

  3. “3.  Who is a famous woman in your country?  Tell us about her.”

My choice among all the incredible and strong women of my country was the famous actress Leila Diniz. Leila was an advocate of free love and female emancipation in the terrible era of the Brazilian military dictatorship. The Brazilian dictatorship was one of the most inhuman and bloody years of Brazilian history, epoch where conservatism dominated. Leila is an icone of feminine freedom that has knocked down many barriers and taboos in an age where the right of expression was limited and controlled. As an actress, she became the muse of the embryonic new cinema, a movement that proposed breaking the aesthetic standards adopted so far - with a strong foundation in the Hollywood style.
She was the pioneer in wearing bikinis on the beach during pregnancy and paved the way for this taboo to be demystified. In the twenties, she was one of the greatest muses of Brazilian television and always talked about sex openly, not caring about what others is going to think. She died at age 27 in a plane crash. She was returning from a trip to Australia and left her daughter that was only 7 months old at the time.

  4. Josefa Llanes Escoda (September 20, 1898 – January 6, 1945) is a Filipina war heroine, great civic leader, and social worker. She was a well-known Filipino advocate of women's right of suffrage and founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. She also dubbed as the Florence Nightingale of the Philippines. I chose her as the famous Women in our country, Philippines. She represented every girl in our country by creating the Girl's Scout of the Philippines. She went to the U.S to be trained as a Scout. Before there was Girl's Scout of the Philippines we only got Boy's scout, which means the people of the Philippines can only see what boys can do. Girls didn't have the chance to show how brave and tough they are also. So I'm thankful that Josefa came up with the idea of founding or creating the Girl's Scout of the Philippines. Now we as girls can make people see what we can contribute to our country. That we can also be a part of making it a better place to live in. That not only boys can do. It also showed equality between Men and Women in the country because the time GSP started women also started to defend our country from wars.

Filipinos have a deep regard for education. They want good education for both their sons and daughters – but aspirations can be different for boys and girls. Although, it's very different to women to men because girls need to alot more to do than mens and it is exciting that more women are enrolling in these institutions, women still have to take many steps to be considered equal to men in ranking. Even thought this is a start, there is still much work to be done.

  6. In my country male and female are equal to have educational opportunities because parents aware the importance of education for male and female and the both have to grow up with education so they can teach other children or people, they understanding the life, in my country every single boy and girl must have the opportunity to take education, it is not fair that boys have to take education and girls are not so thats why male and female are
    equal to have educational opportunities.

  10. As far as I know, in recent years in China, women have the same possibility of getting a stable job as men do and they are paid equally. The only concern is that the employers might be a little hesitated when hiring women because of the vacancy after their pregnancy. When it comes to education, young ladies are required to go to school and get compulsory education. In conclusion, in my country, basically women are treated equally as men.

  13. 2. Do women face inequalities in your country? Explain?

I’m very sure the women in China do not face inequalities. Lots of women encountered inequalities matter in the past. Almost all girls can’t go to the school and access education. Almost all parents preferred giving birth to boys rather than girl in the past.
But now, boys and girls are equal. They all can go to the school, find reputable jobs and in the field that they desire. Now, people will not judge girl differently from boys. Only if women have abilities, they can get better jobs and chances. I believe almost all men and women are equal around the world now. The gender issue will not be a serous questions in the world.

  14. I choose question 5, in my country, male and female can get same education opportunities and same chances. If you want to have a better education, you have to do the text and then you can go to better school to get better education. Also, school will refer to the teacher’s evaluation to determine your stay. Also in my school, if you join any clubs or any communities, teacher will help the female to answer the problem and never say negative words to them, instead, teacher will encourage them. Since in grade 7 to grade 10, I was an instrument player in my school orchestra. When we have the show in the theatre or in the hall, the waiting room was very crowded and had only serveral seats to sit, then the teacher will ask the girls to seat. In this society, we are the same. The male and female have different works, but it doesn’t-mean some works that female can never do. So the male and female should have the same education.

I think that we should have an Internation Woman’s Day because, even though our century now has brought more empowerment towards woman, there is still oppression towards woman and they are still treated with a different amount respect compared to men. I am not saying that men are not having it just as bad but, compared to men more woman are treated with less respect and just not right. So having a day completely dedicated to woman empowerment is what could bring more awareness and power to woman all around the world. A way that we can even it out is that we could have a day completely dedicated to woman and men and how we all could be treated the same so both could feel enpiwered and equal since, that is the reason to feminism and female empowerment.

  17. I believe we should have International Women's day to support the women who are still not treating equally to the men around the world , even we live in an equal country also we have to celebrate it and do activities to have a clear idea about the unequally treating to the women which is in this case we can help them and try to build a specific organization to support them .

She was a politician, professor, and public servant who is most notable for being the very first Filipino to win a seat as a judge at the International Criminal Court. And she was also included in several international list like, "the 100 Most Powerful Woman in the World" by the Australian Women's Magazine. One of the things that made Mirriam popular internationally is her outspokeness. She has always opened up issues that other senators could not. Even though for all the things she been through and challenging storms that came in to her personal life. Yet Miriam still stand firm and continues to serve other people.

We should have International Women's Day because women are very important on the international stage today.
Most women work very efficiently. We watched a movie in ESL class a few days ago. It is called the "Hidden Figures," this film described three black Women who assisted NASA in Cold War to smoothly astronauts into space and even the moon, those three women are very great. This is why we call them "Hidden Figures."
In addition, many women are affecting our world and helping poor countries or regions become better and better. As we all know, many women are presidents or leaders of their countries or regions. We call their wife "the first lady" if the leader of a country is a man, which is why women are increasingly important in the world.

We should be doing special activities in the high school because of Women teachers.
However, most of female classmates in my high school, their age are not arrived 18 years old, which is why they are not be a woman yet. Therefore, they should not be doing special activities.
In my opinion, today should be doing special activities for all of our female teachers in the school. All of teachers are great, I am very respect for all teachers who taught me. There was an ancient Chinese saying called "A teacher for a Day is a father for a lifetime."

    2.
At present, most women in my country's cities are treated equally. Women's social status may be higher than men because China's population development is unbalanced now. Many men, they are still single, they have no wives or even any girlfriends.
However, in most of China's countrysides, most men have a higher status than women because most of them can earn money through labor in fields.
Conversely, most women who are living in villages do not have the opportunity to receive education because these areas are still poor, people’s minds are feudal and old-finished. They do not think it is a good thing to let girls enter the school. Most families only need their girls to complete a task. This task is called "pregnant and strives for a boy".
More importantly, once some families get a baby girl, they may kill the baby because of poverty. What is more important is that they do not think they have responsibility to save a new life who has no practical use for the family.
This is why many areas in China are still poor, and they are living in small villages of mountain for a lifetime. They have never seen any cars or trains. They only know how to feel full their bellies daily and do not know what dreams are.

  23. 1. Should we have International Women's Day? Should we be doing special activities in the school? Why or why not? Why do you think we chose those activities?

Yes, I believe we should have International Women’s Day because all around the world there are many women who don’t have basic rights. For example, some women cannot vote and cannot get their driver’s licenses in some parts of the world. To raise awareness for this issue, we can do many different special activities in school. Something we can do in the school is to place posters and pictures about women who have made great achievements in the past. For example, Susan B. Anthony was an American women's rights activist and Clara Barton was a nurse who founded the American Red Cross. Like these example women, women today are able to do amazing things and will continue to grow as individuals. Then, we can inform women’s rights to students who don’t know how serious problem it is while we are doing this campaign.

  25. 4. In my opinion, Canada and the world should focus on keeping everything equal between the male and the female, for example, some companies such as Uber doesn’t pay the female drivers the same amount as the male drivers, thinking that the female drivers doesn’t drive as well as males. I think that the Canadian government shouldn’t accept that, and keep working on it the appolish it and make the company pay the same price for each of the male and the female drivers. Another examples of sexism in canada, young girls in Canada still face countless roadblocks that are nothing short of out and out sexism, which is a really important thing, and the government should stops it and treat both of males and females equal.

6.How did you get your name? Why is it important? What does it mean?
My dad named me this name Wajd, after he convinced my mom because she wanted to name me Mark. My name in Arabic is very rare and hard to find people named this name. It originally came from the Arabic dictionary, and it could be for both male and female, and it means Intense love, joy, and ability.

My real name is Yating Zhang. In China, people believe that when a person is born, his or her life normally miss something or have something more, like "water""fire" and so on. Some people like my uncle know what the people lose or have more. They will give some perfect name to the child's parents and parents will choose a name they like best. So my name is made by my uncle but chose by my parents. It's important. "Ya" in China is means elegant. And "Ting" means delicate and pretty.

  27. Now-a-days, in China People Republic Female and male have equal educational opportunity. In 1500 years ago, we have a philosopher called Confucius, in his opinion, female can not have equal educational opportunity with male because of males need the knowledge to feed the family, and the women should stay at home help men to look after the family, but in modern China, people against this opinion because everyone has equal human right, also have right for education, whatever male or female. In fact, after 1949, China people republic start to give women the equal human right, also let women study in the school and have equal education opportunity, so now-a-days, we can see the student whatever boys or girl study in the classroom, also the country give the money and hand to help some poor student or teenager in the job duty back to school.

She has many titles: a nun in the temple, concubine, empress, mother of the emperor. She was a cruel and merciless woman who would reach her goals by any means.
