What is a Homophone?



 The –phone ending means sound or voice, so a homophone has the same pronunciation. 

A homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning, and may differ in spelling. The words may be spelled the same, such as rose (flower) and rose (past tense of "rise"), or differently, such as carat, caret, and carrot, or to, two, and too.

  1. Actually the video is super cute and nice. The idea behind the videos is great, as it seems there are a lot of people who just can't get it. A lot of people need the THERE THEY'RE THEIR song too.
